Due to Bay Area public health orders for summer camps, travel restrictions, and uncertainties around recreational access, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our California Small Group Adventure camps for this summer.
I am so sorry. I know that this is frustrating and sad news to hear as a parent. I know that you have already received many cancelation messages, and this is another blow. We were so excited to be of service to parents this summer. We wanted so badly to provide kids with empowering small group adventures in the outdoors. Please understand that we tried incredibly hard to make these programs happen.
You might have heard about our other alternative day camp option, Camp at Home. We are still able to run those programs, as they are far more localized that our Small Group Adventure Programs, but unfortunately, Camp at Home registration is now full and closed. Again, I am sorry.
Credit and Refund Options
- We will return 100% of your current Small Group Adventure purchases to the form of payment used. If you used Avid4 credit from past canceled programs, then 100% of those funds will be returned to your Avid account as credit - good for the next 3 years (through summer 2023). If you paid for any portion of your Small Group Adventure(s) via your credit card, then we will refund 100% of those payments to your credit card. No action is needed from you.
- Per our COVID-19 Cancelation and Refund Policy, instead of holding on to Avid4 credit in your account, you can choose to take a partial refund on that amount. If you would like this option or have questions about refunds, please complete this quick form. Please note that refunds may take up to three weeks to process due to high volume.
We know that you might have other questions. Please understand that we are fielding an exceptionally large number of phone calls and emails right now. The best way to get your questions answered immediately is to visit our online Help Center. If you cannot find your answer at the Help Center, please send us an email. Please DO NOT CALL us at this time - it will only delay our ability to respond to you and other parents.
Finally, and most importantly, I wanted to again apologize. I know that this decision not only creates a big hole in your summer plans, but it also removes something that was going to be such a fun highlight for your child. More than ever, you need time and space, and your kid(s) need fun and laughter. We will be back next summer to provide you with all of those things.
