Cell Phones and Expedition Camp: Get Unplugged.
In an effort to encourage being present during activities and fostering relationships within the group, we do not allow cell phones on trips. We also will be primarily in the backcountry where cell phone service is limited and being that we are exposed to the elements at all times, we also don't want to see anything get broken!If campers are flying in or have alternative arrangements that require them to bring a cell phone in order to get to camp, we will collect that device on the first day and keep it in a safe location until they get back from camp.
Our staff carries communication devices to reach out to our main office if more support is required. Our staff will reach out to families to update them with any information from the ground in case of an emergency.
