How Expedition Campers handle their menstrual cycle while on an Expedition Camping trip
We encourage campers to bring their own feminine hygiene products (plus a few extra) if your camper gets/expects their menstrual cycle while on the expedition. We encourage campers to talk to our instructors if they feel like they need guidance or extra feminine hygiene products to support them during that time. Our instructors will always have extra feminine hygiene products if your camper needs them and everyone is trained on how to have these conversations sensitively.Along with bringing your preferred hygiene product, we also encourage bringing wet wipes and extra Ziploc bags to be able to take out any trash with you while managing your menstrual cycle in the backcountry.
